I heard Chaka do the song with pianist Wayne Lindsey the Friday before Easter at "Prayers in the Wind," but he wasn't available Easter Sunday, so I was asked to learn the song and perform it with Chaka and the Agape Ensemble. It's a Richard Smallwood composition and arrangement that just smokes. Nothing like stepping up to the plate...with no run through. Fortunately it worked out fine.I was supported brilliantly by the Agape House Band: drums, Rayford Griffin; bass, John Hart; guitar, David Neal; saxophone, Cal Bennett; synth, Ming Freeman; percussion, Idris Hestor; violin, Chris Woods - with the Agape Ensemble headed up by Tim McAfee Lewis.
